Full Service Cleanup
Whenever you use your computer, especially when visiting web sites or reading email, your machine temporarily saves files onto it's hard drive. These files are generally harmless, but do take up valuable hard drive space. If temporary files are not cleaned on a regular basis, it has the potential to cause system slowdown and excessive disk usage. By clearing out the files that Windows temporarily stores, performance can slightly increase and space can be cleared up for more important things. Our Full Service Cleanup includes:
- Virus and Spyware Removal
- Hard drive defragmentation
- Removal of all temporary files
- Windows Updates
- Anti-virus software updates or replacements
Onsite Repairs
Would you like to have us come to your home to fix your computer? How about having us come pick up the computer and dropping it off when we're finished with repairs? Our Onsite Repairs include any type of computer work completed in your home. We can also pick up and/or return your computer to you if you cannot bring it into our shop. If you need us to come to you, please keep in mind the following:
- $20 trip charge plus $20 per hour, minimum of 1 hour and billed in 15 minute increments afterwards. Pick-up/Drop-off services are $20 plus the normal cost of repairs.
- 3-hour maximum. If the computer requires additional repairs that cannot be completed within this time frame, we will take the computer with us at your request and finish repairs in our shop. We will also work out a reasonable rate at which to finish the repairs.
System Backup/Restore
Sometimes computers get to the point where you want to do a complete system wipe and restore. Maybe you got hit with a nasty virus that damaged important Windows files or maybe you're looking for that just-out-of-the-box feel again. No matter the reason, let us take care of it for you. Our System Backup/Restore includes:
- System restores from either a restore point, backup disks, or Windows installation media (requires valid license key)*
- Full backup of My Documents/Documents folder(s)
- Additional file backups from locations you specify
- We will save backups to any media you bring, from CDs or DVDs to portable hard drives. We can also provide the backup media for you at a per-disk fee. $5 per each DVD backup disk or $3 per each CD backup disk.
* With a full system restore, we will also install all Windows updates as well as reinstall any anti-virus and/or anti-spyware programs you bring with you. If you do not have such programs, we will install freely available solutions.
Hardware Replacements/Upgrades
If you need more hard drive space or if your modem dies, they can be easily replaced. Bring us the part and we can put it in for you. We can also buy the part you need for just the price of the part and installation fees. Our Hardware Replacements/Upgrades includes:
- Part removal/replacement
- Driver and software installation/update
- Assistance in choosing the right part(s) for your machine and figuring out the most cost effective and/or fastest way to get your computer back up and running.
* If you need or want us to buy the correct part for your computer, the cost is $40 plus the price of the part.
